Character Intensive
December 14, 10AM to 5PM (One Hour Lunch)
Twelve Students Maximum
Located at Studio Savec, Nad Buďánkami II. 2087/24 - Prague 5
🕒 6-Hour Workshop
Some characters live in your back pocket. Others live deep in your body — you just haven’t met them yet.
This full-day intensive is a deep dive into character creation, embodiment, and emotional clarity. We’ll explore characters from the inside out (beliefs, wants, personal history) and the outside in (physicality, voice, props, movement), using a range of exercises that stretch your instincts and unlock range.
You’ll build bold characters, subtle ones, grounded ones, strange ones. You’ll dance, monologue, speed date, walk through clay, and play quiet two-person scenes where character does all the work.
Through immersive exercises, guided reflection, and focused scene work, you’ll learn how to:
Build character through physicality, voice, and emotional logic
Use POV, status, and want to make even simple scenes dynamic
Spot the difference between “performing” a character and being one
Sustain character choices over time, even in emotionally shifting scenes
Let character create the scene — instead of chasing plot
We’ll spend time developing characters through solo exploration, then bring them into scenes: long-term partners, childhood friends, confessional strangers, trapped travelers, and more. By the end of the day, you’ll have met several new characters — and they’ll feel real enough to take home with you.
Whether you’re looking to expand your range, sharpen your instincts, or just fall back in love with character work, this workshop gives you the tools, space, and push to go deeper.
